Once upon a time... I had a blog....

I do believe this is the longest I've ever gone without blogging.  Don't think I just left with no regard for you, my two humble readers.  I just haven't had the time to muster up the energy to get here.

Well, I'm back!  I have a long list of semi-funny things to litter this blog with, little free time to write, and a to-do list eight miles long, but I do miss it so I'll do my best.

(Oh, for what it's worth since I'm likely not going to get around to my awesome New Year's resolution blog, that IS my resolution... to do my best at everything.  Parenting.... Wife... Work....  It ain't much, but it's something!)

So, Patty and Beth, you may ask what I could possibly be doing that takes up my time these days?  Well, since I just checked into my hotel room (and thanks to Beth, checked for bedbugs) and have 30 minutes until our group dinner, here's our long weekend in pictures.  Enjoy... It was a doozy.

I did some laundry.  I know... riveting.

 

We took a bunch of naps and sat around, feeling feverish.  No pictures were taken.  Because I was also sleeping.

 

We ran some errands and picked out stain for my dad's new cabinets.  Take a guess as to what we'll be doing next weekend.  English Chestnut, if you please. 

 

And we visited some baby goats at one of my dad's friend's farm.  Too.  Freakin'.  Cute.

 

 

We registered two girls for the 2013-14 school year.  We'll have one second grader and one kindergartner. 

 

And then I sat and cried at how fast time goes by.  Seriously??? Second grade and kindergarten???

 

Finally, I made dinner for the girls and I while Jay led a meeting on fish fry's for Lent at church.  We sure love cereal. 

That's all.  Not exciting but it's done.  I tried my best!
