11 months down

In five short days, Samantha will be 11 months old. It’s hard to believe it’s almost been a year since she’s been in our lives. I remember what it was like when it was just the three of us, but everyday it gets harder to remember life before her.

At 11 months, she’s really turning into her own person. She hugs me and will give me “kisses” by slobbering on my face. She has been crawling for a few months and now pulls up and walks all around furniture. She’s mastered the stairs (hello, gates!) and does not wait for permission before going where she wants to. She’s even stood alone for a few seconds at a time and take a step here and there, but she’s not walking yet. We are also patiently waiting the appearance of her first tooth!

At the top of the first stairs. She is FAST!

Health-wise: She has officially had her ear tubes in for a month and is still having ear infections. The doctor finally cultured her ear “juice” and found the strep and pneumonia virus, so back on antibiotics she went. Luckily with the tubes, ear infections don’t have near the impact they once did. No fevers, no crabby baby, just ear gunk and a runny nose. Overall, she’s had an eventful 11 months so far! Next, time to plan her 1st birthday party!
